Where will the party be held?

The theme is starting to get clearer, so now it is time to decide which location you are going to use. When your house is big enough and you are ready to plan it there, that is great! I can also imagine that you do not want to go through all necessary preparation for a home-based party.  Holding a party in your house does not only mean that you have to plan it yourself but you also have to prepare the house for it. This means for example, cleaning the whole house in time. You also have to be sure that your house is capable of holding the number of people you are planning on inviting.
The decision where to hold the party should not be too difficult. With the success and theme of your party in mind you probably have a clear idea of the location already. You just need to fill in the details, that is all.

How many people?
Two questions in one. First question wants to find out how many people you can accommodate on the location you have in mind. The second question is about how many people you are planning to invite. Never continue planning if you know without any doubt that the number of people that you want to invite is more than the location you have in mind, can handle. Do not make the mistake to think that everything will work out fine, when you invite 40 persons, while you have, room for only 20, it most probably will not!
When you act like this, you are really calling for a disaster. In this case, there are only two possibilities, or you bring back the number of guests, or look for another bigger location.

How much can you afford to pay?
If you are going to host the party on another location than your home, check out how much the rental is. Ask yourself seriously, if you can afford to pay the fee and if you are still able to afford yourself all supplies and accessories you need to make the party a success. Do not fool yourself by thinking you can handle it, while you cannot. That way you are heading for a big disaster.

Do you want in an outdoor or indoor venue?
Keep in mind when you plan an outdoor party, you always need the weather to cooperate with you, be prepared for the worst!

Is this location conducive to the theme you are developing?
Is the park, garden, hall, room suitable for the kind of decoration you have in mind for your theme? Did you think of a more suitable location for your creative plans? You have an important point here. When you are having doubts about the location, you should ask around among family and friends, if they have ever planned a party at this location. What do they think about your theme, is it possible to carry it out here?

Will your guests have room to park?
This is a very practical issue, which can easily slip through your mind. Better, think about this problem before, that will prevent a lot of stress on the party day!

Does the location you are considering allow alcoholic beverages?
Make sure that the owners of the location you are about to rent, giving permission to provide your guests with alcoholic drinks. If they say no, do not try to sneak some in. Just thank them and wish them all the best. Go back to your planning table and look for another location.
